Time for a Reset

Sometimes we get caught up in the busyness of everything going on in our lives. It seems like it’s always one thing after another, with everything competing for our attention. Before we know it, we can begin to feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and frustrated because we don’t take adequate time to rest.

When we are always ‘full speed ahead’ and don’t spend some time relaxing and recharging, then we are so much more likely to become sick and we’ll be forced to make the time to take care of ourselves. Why do we do that to ourselves? It’s easier to just schedule some down time and do something fun – or nothing at all – and actually enjoy ourselves, rather than being sick and feeling miserable.

It’s time for a reset. Make taking care of yourself a priority. By properly resting and spending time really focusing on self-care and rejuvenation, we can do ourselves, and those who depend on us, a world of good. Remember, rest is essential and not a luxury.

We will be more successful in all our endeavors if we can let go of the habit of running all the time, and take little pauses to relax and re-center ourselves. And we’ll also have a lot more joy in living.
