Replace Pessimism with Optimism

As you go about your day, do you ever pay attention to the thoughts you think and the words you use on a regular basis? Are the words often negative? Or do you predominantly think and speak positively about yourself and others? If you’re like most people, you probably tend to think and speak more negatively.

When you actively focus on what comes out of your mouth, you may be astonished to realize that you have fallen into a habit of negative speaking. Most of us tend to be rather critical of ourselves or the situations we’re in, and we are often unaware of the negative word choices that have crept in. Therefore, it is important to become more mindful of the words you use and, as often as possible, try to replace the words and thoughts with more positive ones.

Sometimes, without even realizing it, we mirror other people’s word choices. We mimic or mirror one another to feel more connected and to facilitate bonding, but it’s not healthy when someone around us constantly speaks negatively and we allow it to influence us. When this happens, change the direction of the conversation by replacing negativity with positivity. By changing the focus in a positive way, you help everyone involved.

Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.

  1. My partner and I absolutely love your blog and find a lot of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content available for you? I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome weblog!
