A cluttered space leaves us feeling restricted, blocked, and overwhelmed. When we take time to clear out and organize the space, we feel lighter, calmer, and more at ease.
“
Marie KondoThe objective of cleaning is not just to clean, but to feel happiness living within that environment.“
This is also true for when we cling to beliefs and ways of thinking that no longer serve us, and resentments that we haven’t let go of. These old self-sabotaging beliefs and thoughts clutter up our mind and heart, and we’re left feeling stuck in old patterns that hold us back.
“The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt
Much like when we clear out physical clutter, we must do some soul-searching and ask ourselves the tough questions and really think about our belief system to determine if those beliefs are true, false, or if they are limiting us. Are the relationships we have positive, supportive, and caring? Are there unhealthy habits that we need to change?
“Clutter is not just physical stuff, it’s old ideas, toxic relationships and bad habits.”
Eleanor Brown
We must also practice forgiveness for past hurts and resentments. Only then when we start implementing new, true beliefs and forgive ourselves and others will we find healing and more peace. This mindful release leaves us feeling energetically lighter, freer, and clearer.
“If it doesn’t add to your life, it doesn’t belong in your life.”
