Most people know how good it feels to do some spring cleaning, to spruce things up, clear out accumulated junk and clutter that we no longer want or need, and free up space to efficiently organize the things we do need.
“Clutter is anything that doesn’t belong in a space – whether because it belongs elsewhere in your home, or it doesn’t belong in your home any longer.”
Chrissy Halton
Maybe we should apply this concept as we contemplate our life’s path. We may want to get rid of certain behaviors or ways of thinking that no longer fulfill us. We may reevaluate relationships, career choices, or any number of other things. As we systematically go through the different areas of our life and decide what is working and what isn’t, what we want to keep and what we want to let go of, we become open to new meaningful ideas and ways of thinking.
“Daring to dream means daring to live.”
Robert H. Schuller
Letting go of old patterns, beliefs, feelings, and burdens that weigh us down mentally and emotionally (and even physically) allows us to heal and freely move forward with purpose and a lighter heart. What have you been holding onto that doesn’t serve you? Take one action today that will begin the process of moving you one step closer to what you want for your life.
“You are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct and control your own environment. You can make your life what you want it to be.”
Napoleon Hill
