Reconnecting with Friends

Life gets so busy and chaotic at times that we may find that we have neglected our friendships for a while. Sometimes we lose touch for only a few days, other times it could be months or years.

“A faithful friend is a strong defense; and he that hath found him hath found a treasure.”

Louisa May Alcott

Making time for friends and nurturing the bond you have will strengthen your relationship through your shared experiences. It is of the utmost importance to spend time with friends who inspire and encourage us, who help us to relax as we laugh and enjoy ourselves, and in troubling times, help us work through whatever is going on in our lives. Maintaining these meaningful relationships is key to a more fulfilling and happier life.

Friendships evolve over time; some dissolve while others deepen. Reach out to a friend you haven’t spoken with in a while and let them know they are important to you and spend some time reconnecting. You’ll be glad you did.

“One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.”

Lucius Annaeus Seneca
