There are times when it is necessary to let go of something whether it is a goal or a long-term dream, an idea, or even a relationship, so that something better can come to us. We may have such an attachment to a particular outcome that we effectively prevent any other possibility to manifest.
Whenever we constantly encounter obstacles to what we think we want, most likely it’s because it isn’t the best option for us. We may have it in our head that there is only one way to achieve our ultimate goal -happiness- but really there are so many ways to get there. Those obstacles are detours that may bring something even better that we would never have thought of if we had just stubbornly kept trying to force things to go the way we wanted.
Many paths lead from the foot of the mountain, but at the peak we all gaze at the single bright moon.

Many times, we sabotage ourselves, often without realizing it, because we are afraid of change, we lack confidence in ourselves, or we doubt that what we want will happen. If we can just stop trying to micromanage every little thing, it will free us to move forward in the best way possible. If we release attachment to an outcome by having a “this or something better” mentality, then we are such much more likely to be successful.
When we feel doubt, instead of focusing on it, we should envision success coming about in the best way possible. When we are unhappy, try visualizing happy, fulfilling relationships. When we want to achieve a goal, rather than focusing on ‘how’ it will happen, focus on the result we want in a general sense. Even though it can be really challenging to surrender attachment, we can end up with so much more than we ever dared hope for, just by including “this or something better” in our intentions.
The Universe has your back even when things aren’t working out the way you expected.
