Setting and Achieving Goals

Today, take time to look at your life. Is your life going in the direction you want? Have you set intentions for yourself? How about any New Year’s resolutions? Making any progress with those? Are you finding ways to fulfill those dreams and intentions? If not, what can you do to move one step closer to achieving your goals?

There is a considerable difference between concentrating upon a dream or hope, and concentrating upon building that dream into realization.

H. Spencer Lewis

It is not enough to simply hope a dream will come true—we must get in the right frame of mind and then take some sort of action. If we want to get out of debt, we must cut out unnecessary expenses and put that money toward paying off the debt. If we want to get fit, we must eat a healthier diet and put in the effort of exercising moderately several times a week. If we want to become an expert on something, we must study, research, and learn as much as we can and then apply it.

Take that first step toward reaching your goals; don’t wait until later because there is never going to be a better time to start than right now. Look for inspiration from those around you. What have they done that you could apply in your own situation? When you sit quietly and open your heart and mind to your inner guidance, do you follow your instincts? Guidance and inspiration come in diverse forms and from unexpected sources, so be open to creative ways in which to move ahead in attaining your goals. And once you have reached a goal, even a small one like cleaning out the junk drawer, be sure to celebrate and bask in the satisfaction of a job well done.

Do not wait; the time will never be just right. Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.

  1. I was just searching for this info for a while. After six hours of continuous Googleing, finally I got it in your website. I wonder what’s the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this kind of informative sites in top of the list. Generally the top web sites are full of garbage.
