Stop Comparing Yourself to Others

Have you ever put aside a dream by thinking that you do not measure up in some way? An example of that inner self-talk might go something like this: “I could never do that because I am … too old, too young, not smart enough, not good enough.” The list of reasons why you should just not even attempt to achieve a dream is endless and disempowering, but ultimately it is useless.

It is time to stop listening to your negative beliefs and stop comparing yourself to others. We are not supposed to be identical to each another. We are all unique and have different talents and qualities that makes us special, and we should acknowledge them and use them to realize our dreams and goals, as well as to contribute to making the world a better place.

Ask yourself what if? What if I let go of the fear of not being as good as someone else? What if I achieved this dream or goal? Start where you are and tap into your greater vision for yourself. It’s time to create the life you want by taking steps to reach your dreams. You don’t need to compare yourself to anyone else, because there is no comparison. Be yourself and give yourself permission to shift your perspective from feeling you don’t measure up, to knowing there is no need to.

Comparison will strip you of power, of grace, and influence. Each person is unique. How then, can you possibly compare unique to unique? You can’t. And when you try, you annihilate your brilliance.
