Gratefulness

We often hear that we should always be grateful, in all things, but how do we do that? There are times when we don’t feel well, life has thrown us a curve-ball, or perhaps we’re just in a bad mood.

An important thing to keep in mind is that our thoughts are powerful and can make the whole experience feel even worse – or they can make it better. By finding at least one thing every day to be grateful for, we can learn to use the creative power of our minds to affect our lives in a more positive way.

This season of thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity to begin putting gratitude into practice.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
