Thought patterns or habits that weigh us down or hold us back present us with opportunities to replace them with helpful, productive thoughts and behaviors. The act of recognizing those negative thoughts can act as a catalyst for positive change.
When we worry about the future, that means we are misusing our imaginations. Our imaginations are very creative and powerful, so envision positive, joyful situations and circumstances instead.
