Insecurity – we all have it… moments of feeling not good enough, so why even try? Sadly, we may end up holding ourselves back, so there are times we need a push in order to face our fears. Even though it will be challenging, it is imperative to always try our best in whatever we attempt.
While there are many ways to bolster self-confidence, here’s a few tips that may prove useful to start with.
- A good way is to surround ourselves with people we trust who offer support and encouragement.
- Another way is to make a point to talk back to our inner critic, and repeat positive reinforcements such as, “I have the ability to handle life easily and effortlessly.”
- Another option is to ‘fake it until we make it.’ This means we take it one moment at a time and pretend that we are confident and summon up the courage to take small steps to further ourselves and abilities.
No matter what is causing feelings of insecurity, remember that you are not alone. Most people experience this, but by taking steps to keep it in check, you can lead a happier and more fulfilling life.
Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.
