Fear

When we are afraid and are struggling with how to deal with it, the emotions can feel overwhelming. Many times, we might keep our fears to ourselves and dwell on them, compounding the problem with more anxiety and stress.

Fear, anxiety, and self-doubt are negative emotions that can cause all kinds of problems in our physical bodies, which can lead to diseases or even early death. Therefore, it is imperative to release the tension and stress in order to stay healthy. A few ways to facilitate healing can include talking with someone we trust, meditating, praying, and writing in a journal or diary.

We all need someone to lean on, at one time or another. It is important to support one another emotionally and provide comfort in hard times. Many times, when we talk to someone about what is causing our fear or distress, they may have an insight that will help.

The biggest thing to remember is that there is a way through whatever we are facing. Fear presents opportunities to find courage and inner strength to face and overcome whatever challenge is looming over us. Rise above the negative thoughts and focus on putting your energy into positive solutions and outcomes. Even in the darkest of times, we have the power to choose the effect the challenge and fear has on us and determine how we are going to respond to it.

You may feel like dwelling on your limits or your fears. Don’t do it. A perfect prescription for a squandered, unfulfilled life is to accommodate self-defeating feelings while undercutting your finest, most productive ones.
